 JEVOL is as much an artist as they are a concept; a presence that bridges boundaries and defies categorization. JEVOL channels their heritage of Chicano and Black Diasporic histories into striking pastel and acrylic portraits. Their oeuvre examines the interplay of cultural narratives, personal mental health struggles, and philosophical reflections; begetting art that occupies the space between individual and collective experience.

Rooted in a syncretic vision, JEVOL intentionally draws inspiration from history, philosophy, and personal memory. As a result, their process is overwhelmingly immersive, fueled by an obsessive passion for research and meticulous study. Each composition, then, becomes an intense meditation on resilience and self-determination; culminating in bold, complex works that challenge societal binaries.

Deliberately enigmatic, JEVOL transcends singular narratives, allowing their art to serve as a manifesto.
